Hey I just found Linerider 2 this morning. It's way better than the link I gave you yesterday. Much easier to edit and do stuff with. If you're going to waste your time playing, mid-as-well use the good stuff. So here it is.

Remember that there is NO YOUTH GROUP this coming Sunday Dec. 31 because it's New Years Eve and I will be at the New Years Revolution Retreat.

For those headed to the reteat........
You need to be to Mission Meadows between 12-1pm on Sat. Dec. 30. We will no be serving lunch so either eat before you leave or grab something on your way. We will be done at noon on Jan. 1 we're asking that you be picked up pretty close to noon from Mission Meadows so the staff can pack all the equipment and clean up and get home before midnight. Quick directions.....Midway Park is on Rt 430 off of 86 near Beamus......the camp is just after Midway on the left. you'll see the sign.....maybe a mile after Midway

Here's a list of what to bring.
Sleeping bag and pillow
Towel and washcloth
Toilettries (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste,
Bible and writing utensil
clothes for Sat, Sun, and Monday =comfortable but appropriate.
sneakers
if snow bring appropriate outdoor clothes
bring a snack to share (give it to registration people when you arrive)

alternative things to bring:
guitar if you choose worshipleading workshop
bowling ball (this is really just a joke)
board games

For everyone.........something to mess around with. it's called LineRider. You draw the route that the little guy will sledride on. Below are two videos from guys messing around with Linerider. the first is our friend David Crowder who you may remember from a past video as a great worship leader and a me look alike. The second is a urban drawing. Don't be put off by how much time these guys messed with it to get theirs this way.....just have fun with the hill.

Countdown to Christmas 2006. Not too long now and you'll be eating until you're stuffed and getting presents that you'll forget about come February. YIPEE!

I went to the Christmas Concert at WAHS last night. WOW you guys are wicked talented. Seriously. Riane didn't tell me she was singing a solo.....nice job! Lindsey, and Nyssa....when you all came in the back....I was sitting on the side that you were on....and literally I swear I could pick your voices out.....i could just hear the texture of your voices and I said "I think that's Lindsey and that's Nyssa." Burt as always a great job playing string bass. Everyone was just so good!

Remember no youth group this coming Sunday or next Sunday we won't meet again until Jan. 7th. Wow that seems like a long way away!

I'm going to add something soon to "Aaron's thoughts" blog. Check in over there this week.

I'll also be adding things to this blog pretty regularly. Particularly if you're going to New Years Revolution...you need to check in here. I'll put up a list of "to bring" stuff. It's still not too late if you want to go.....but you better let me know like now.

That's God's blogs book that I told you about...I'm finishing it off this morning at FreshCup.....I told you it's in the top 3 books I've read this year......it might have made it's way to the best book read in 2006!!!! It's THAT good. If you get something you don't want for Christmas....exchange it and then go get this book!

Do you know how cool I am? I'm the only youth pastor in the county to update their blog since like September! What would you do without it?

The R key on my laptop broke. Depending on how I type will depend if it falls off. It's really annoying. I looked on e-bay.....it's like 5 bucks for a new R. That's crazy. So I think I'm going to check the seats in my car and our couches at home and see if I can find 5 bucks.........because typing is insanely hard!!!!

Sorry for being a little slack lately on this blog.

REC is moving for good to Tuesday nights. 7pm. The goal is to not change that again.

This Sunday is the last Youth Group for this year. We will NOT HAVE YOUTH GROUP Dec. 24 or 31st. This week we will go to the Ward's house afterward to eat what's left of their food for their open house. Please make sure to tell your parents not to pick you up right at 8pm. We'll be over there for a little while.

NEW YEARS REVOLUTION........it's not too late to give me registrations, but you need to get those to me ASAP. I can't tell you how bad I want you to go!

Hey everyone........day off school.......HA!

THIS SUNDAY.........4pm there is a really cool concert at N. Warren. Triumphant is playing. They are a swing/big band style group. Really really good. I'm going, so if you're not doing anything I hope to see you there.......If you need bribed, there's pie and soup afterward!

If you're not coming to Triumphant we're still having youth group right around 6:30......we may not be in the youth lounge because of the soup and pie thing.....so look for us, or for notes telling you where we are.

It's not too late to consider going to the New Years Revolution. What do I need to do to get you to go? A little dance? Jugling? I can't tell you how bad I want you to go to this event. It's going to be really good. If you haven't got me your registration forms.....you need to do that ASAP!

NEW YEARS REVOLUTION is coming quick. I need those registration forms! I can't impress upon you enough that you need to go to this. Don't worry if you don't have the money right now, give me the registration form ASAP. Don't wait a minute longer.

I usually don't do this, but I have to make a plug. If you don't know what you want for Christmas yet.....then ask your grandma for this book. It's called God's Blogs by lanny donoho. You can get it at Amazon, probably Waldenbooks, or I know that we're giving 3 copies away at NEW YEARS REVOLUTION! This book is really cool. The idea is that God is writing a blog (kind of like the one you're reading) to us. The author doesn't want to say that he speaks for God.....it's not blasphamy...it's just a book that makes you think of God from a different perspective. Since it's in blog form it's super easy reading. Again, if you don't know what you want for Christmas, or you really don't need more socks.....get this thing.

I found this cool game on another youth pastors blog. I thought I'd share with you. It's fun, but it's also exercise. You have to type the words under the machines and then your guy shoots them if you get it right. I dare you to play Impossible Mode. I did. I rocked out! Feel free to post your score and what level Mode you played it on.

If you missed this past weeks youth group we talked about writing a boy in Tanzania that our church sponsors. We wrote a letter to get out to him, but we need a picture of us. If at all possible please try to make it to youth group this coming week!!!!

Hey we're back. Good to be home......man it's cold out though!

Couple things for you to keep in mind.......

1. No Rec. this week because it's Thanksgiving and since we do Rec. on Thursdays.........um yeah.

2. Regular time for youth group this week. 6:30-8. Can't wait to see you guys!

3. You need to get me your completed registration forms for NEW YEARS REVOLUTION. I really really really really really want you to go to this. What can I do to convince you? This is something you need to be at. There's a little something for everyone......fun, food etc............the biggest thing though is learning. The main purpose of this weekend is for you to learn and grow in your relationship with Christ. Also, make sure that you're spreading the word about this event.......don't keep it to yourself.....friends are welcome..........

4. IT'S OFFICIAL. For like the 92nd straight year in a row we're going to have St. Bucks Game Day. Here's teh low-down..............I need some help. I need Tv's and game systems. Steve Lewis always brought a TV or two and he's at college..........so who's bringing TV's? We're going to go from 10am-3pm...........if you're not playing games and just goofing off I'm kicking you out.........we'll eat some pizza.......I'm asking you bring 3 bucks for pizza, pop and snacks.......we need enough game systems and TV's before I tell you, you can invite friends..........questions? ok now how's helping out?

I'm sitting watching FAMILY FORCE 5 right now. They're rocking in only a way that they can. If you're not familiar with them, they rock out and are just funny. Toby Mac is coming on next so i need to go.

We're headed back home tomorrow. Please pray as we travel. We've had a blast here and learned a ton, but it's time to come home. We miss our son, we miss you guys, we miss our bed.

I've been thinking about all of you and praying hard for you these couple days. I'm at the Convention and since it's all about youth workers we talk about our youth groups.......so I've had lots of time to think about you.

If I haven't told you this lately........I love you. More importantly than that though God Loves You!

I'm stoked that I still have a day and a half left here.....I'm also bummin that I won't be with you all tomorrow night. Remember don't show up at youth group cause we won't be there!

Hey kiddies,

We got as far as my parents house this afternoon. Corban was fussy all day in the car, but he loves being at Grandma and PaPa's house. Good times being here. He was playing hard tonight.

We're off early early tomorrow morning to Cincinnati. Please keep us in your prayers as you're getting ready for school....we'll be on the road. We'll check in, in the next couple days and let you know what's going down.

There's a new "Aaron's Thoughts" post on the other blog. You don't have to check it out.....but it's been awhile so I thought I'd point out that I actually added something over there.

Flyers and registration forms are out for NEW YEARS REVOLUTION. I really think you should go to this event if at all possible. This is an amazing opportunity to grown in your relationship with Christ and have a ton of fun too! If you didn't get one last night, let me know and i'll get you one ASAP. The sooner you get those back to me the better. There are only 150 slots of students and when they're gone, they're gone.

Remember that as a youth group we are giving money to World Vision between now and Christmas. My challenge has been to you to consider and pray about giving your own money.....or even ask your parents to give the money for one of your Christmas presents to it. I told everyone at youth group last night that I asked my mom for the money for my Christmas present from my parents to give. So I'm in. Who's with me?

Another BIG EVENT is done for the year. To both teams I have to say "Good Work". I don't know if you know this or not....but even if you had a horrible time Friday night, you guys made it fun for me! I love the Big Event every year....because I get to watch you guys working hard at a fun event. THANKS!

Sunday night.......Youth Group time is different this week. There is a special dinner at the church. It starts at 6pm. The reason for the dinner is for people to share their memories about our church. You are welcome to attend the dinner, if you have some stories you'd like to share.....HOWEVER.....we're going to do youthgroup from 5-6pm this Sunday.

Hey everyone.

Just a quick note here.

I need to know DEFINATELY by tomorrow (Wed.) if your friend is coming to the BE. Lots of people are telling me "maybe this person and maybe that person." I can't have maybe's. If I need more drivers I have to call and beg people tomorrow or thursday. If you don't tell me tomorrow either on this blog or by phone or by e-mail......you can't just show up with a friend! We have so many seats.....and so many butts will go in those seats......extra butts will go home.

I don't want to be a meany.....but I need to know exact numbers.

LAST WEEK.........

Well we're down to the last week before the BIG EVENT and things are looking good coming down the home stretch. If you weren't at youth group last night you missed some fun times.

I'll get to the points in a minute....but first some reminders.......

1. Big Event this Friday. You need to be at the church no later than 5:45. If you're bringing a friend, please let me know by Wed. in case I need another driver or two. If you don't tell by Wed., don't show up with a friend!

2. When you arrive at the BE, you need to have in your posession, an envelope. In the envelope you need to have a baby picture. On the outside of the envelope you need to have your name. One envelope per person please.

3. From now until Christmas we are working on a project with World Vision. We have agreed to give the penny offering from Nov. and Dec. toward this project, but we talked last night about giving of ourselves.....or at least thinking and praying about that.

4. Dec. 30-Jan. New Years Revolution. I just got off the phone with PJ....looks like I will have registration forms in my hand tomorrow or Wed. Remember there are only 150 spots open for this event. It's basically first come first serve.....so if you want to go, you need to get your form back to me ASAP. REMEMBER.......money should not be a reason not to go to this!!!!!!

ON TO THE POINTS!!!!!

The night began with Team 1 trailing Team 2 by 1000 points.

Team 2 added to that lead a bit during the crazy e-bay challenge. We looked at some really dumb e-bay auctions and everyone wanted me to by a crygenically frozen pet fish.

Team 1 got back into the race with the first bubble from the blow pop.

Then we were witness to a concert! It was amazing. 4 experienced singers showed up to serenade us with some good music and dancing. Great stuff. Last night I did not inform you of the winner of that.......and I will do so now. After the judges confered we decided that Burt won the sing-off. He had a challenging song, but he did really well with it and he put a lot of energy into his "dance routine".

So where does that leave us point wise?

Every year I say it.......and every year I mean it........but the races get closer and closer..........well right now we're dead tied! Both teams have exactly 10,000 points.

Well we can't have that can we? Let's do some questions for you......

How many days have I officially been employed by N. Warren Presbyterian Church (not counting when I was employed as "Grounds Maintenance" as a kid)? Also remember that this answer will change at midnight tonight!

Hopefully you can make youth group this coming Sunday. This will be your last chance to gain points before THE BIG EVENT. Well......at least as organized teams.

OH BEFORE I FORGET!!!!!!!!!! Every person coming to THE BIG EVENT must bring one item with them........you must bring a picture of yourself as a baby (or early toddler). This picture must be put in a sealed envelope with your name on it. All pictures will be returned to you. Again, you must bring a baby picture of yourself.....the picture must be in a sealed envelope with your name on it. You will turn this in to Aaron when you arrive to THE BIG EVENT. If you're bringing a friend, the must also bring a picture of themselves!!!!!!!!

Regular youth group time and place this week. Be there or be L7. Remember that we're in the middle of BIG EVENT points and every point counts this year much more than in the past.

BIG EVENT is Nov. 10.....which is only two weeks away. That's a Friday night. As always I'm looking for some adult type figures to drive. They must be 21.

Also, there are secret points this year that you can earn for your team......but you have no way of knowing how to earn them..........aren't you intrigued?

I can't believe it, but no one has even asked me what the teams are yet. Maybe there aren't teams this year..........HA Teams will be announced this Sunday night. Points have already been accumulated. Some you know about, some you don't.
