March 30 Big Youth night at the Nazerene church downtown. If you're not doing some other activity that night, you really need to be there. It's going to be big.
June 2 Rated R for Revolution at Praise Fellowship. Several bands playing that night. It was just announced that Clearview will be one of those bands.
June 14 is a cool Motorcycle expo thing in Northwest PA. There will be tricks, stunts, etc. and the riders will talk to everyone. 6 bucks!!!!! Tell your whole family. This is a cool one.
June 25th in the afternoon we're going to do a SOFTBALL game with adults. Fun for the whole family. Hot dogs afterward. Great times. It's just for fun, so even if you stink, you should play.
July 4th........PARADE. Revolution is having a float and we need you to walk with us.

TONS of new stuff
OK lots of updates.
1. The youth night that was suppose to be this coming Tuesday has been moved. We realized that we just didn't have enough time to do what we wanted to do, and get the word out to enough people. We have moved it to TUESDAY MAY 30th. Mark it down, plan on being there.
2. FRIDAY JUNE 2nd is a cool event at Praise Fellowship in Russel. This is totally being done by the youth up there. They are bringing in some bands and some other cool stuff. Should be pretty cool. I think they're calling it "Rated R for Revolution". Look for flyers for that soon.
3. Design a T-shirt. I've been telling you that we're having a Revolution T-shirt design contest for awhile now. I still have had no designs submitted. SOOOOOO we've sweetened the pot a little. If you're design gets picked you now win $30.00, a CD, and a T-shirt when they get printed. Who doesn't need 30 bucks?
4. 4th of July Parade. There will be a float. There will be 150-200+ students your age walking with the float. We will be handing out tracts. We will be handing out candy. There will be music, singing, etc. etc. etc. Why sit and watch the parade when you can be part of it?
5. You can respond and add notes to each of these posts if you'd like. Right below each update is a comments button. just click on it and you should be able to add notes to me or to others. It's easy to use.

5/8 and beyond
There WILL BE Rec. this week. I said last week there wouldn't be....because I really believed that I would be holding my son today......but that's not going to happen now......so we will have rec. at the regular time.

Corban update
I know you guys will want to know this.
Corban is not coming home Monday as we were originally told. There are some paperwork problems in the US government now.
We don't know when, but he will come home.......just not this week.

Here's the scoop for this week.
Regular rec. times on Wednesday 7-8:30.
Saturday we're cleaning the Hospitality House. 10:30-?? probably noonish. You're welcome to bring friends and family.....just remind them that we're cleaning a house. It's really a pretty good time. We'll meet at the church at 10:30.
Sunday is Kidstuf from 6-7ish.
Youth group this week is 7-7:30 upstairs.

This week
Regular youth group time this week 6:30-8pm...........Friendship week. You are welcome to bring a friend. We're going to be talking about what real friendship is, what it looks like, etc. There may be guests joining us, so keep that in mind.
Awesome time last night skating. Hope those of you who were there had fun. I did. That sweater was HOT!

Corban's coming home!
We just found out. Corban will be arriving in Pittsburgh Monday May 8th in the afternoon!!

NEWSFLASH
Here's some current news for you to chew on......
I had originally told you that we would be cleaning the Hospitality House this Saturday. However the State had a family call and ask to use it this weekend. They felt it would be easier to move us to cleaning another day, than tell this family no. So we were bumped yet again. The new date we're looking at is May6.
April 26th....Roller Skating! We're going roller skating at the Russell Roller Rink. Cost to you is $0.00. 7-8:30 pm. If you need a ride there you need to let me know ASAP. cost is 0 if you use their roller skates. If you would like roller blades/inline skates the cost is 2 bucks. If you want to bring your own roller blades, they check them to make sure they're acceptable for the floor...if you want to do that, I suggest you bring your own and 2 bucks just in case.
April 30th BRING A FRIEND NIGHT.........Regular youth group times 6:30-8PM. We're having bring a friend night. I'm going to be talking about what friendship is, we're going to be doing some regular silliness. Plan now.
THE REVOLUTION is holding a contest. We're working on T-shirts and other such items. The problem is that we don't really have a design. We're looking for YOU to design the T-shirt. It can be a slogan, it could be a picture/design, it could be both.....whatever you want. We need them soon though....so get to work. Winner receives a free shirt and some other stuff we'll throw in.
4th of July.....looking far far into the future....THE REVOLUTION is planning a big float/march for the parade. We're wondering what you think. Our vision is to have around 200 students with us passing out candy and tracks. [for those that are unfamiliar with a track....it's a little pamphlet that tells the reader about Jesus] We want to be visible and bold. So what are you doing July 4th?

START YOUR ENGINES
Ok over the past 6 years I have failed miserably at maintaining a webpage for the NWPC youth group "THE HYPE".
This is my attempt to create something easier for everyone.
This should allow students and parents a place to check in for upcoming news and events. It will be easier for me to maintain. It's a very simple format.
